Exercise your rights. Lots of people around the world still risk their lives to vote!

Nothing makes me happier than the thought that my grandchildren will grow up in a country where black men are elected to the highest office...

I remember signs that instructed me and anybody who looked like me where to sit or drink or not sit and drink. It's been awhile but it hasn't been that long. I am proud of how far we have come, ALL OF US, but I don't want anybody to forget how we got here. We can't live in the past, but also have to remember that people fought, people died and people suffered in order that we could live in a world where the President of the United States has an afro.

"Sometimes I get so tired
then I think about what Harriet Tubman did for a living".

I'm not trying to tell you what to think or how to vote. What I am trying to get across is that more folks need to think and they need to have more than opinions-- thoughtful action. Get out there and be the change you want in the world. Sometimes all it takes is one person.
